In the third quarter of 2024, the top five air travel apps on the iOS platform in Australia demonstrated varying performance trends, as captured by Sensor Tower's comprehensive data insights.

Virgin Australia saw a noticeable increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 18K in the first week of August. Active users also showed a positive trend, growing from approximately 43K at the start of July to nearly 49K by the end of September.

Qantas Airways maintained a consistent weekly download rate, hovering around 13K to 14K throughout the quarter. Active user numbers experienced a gradual rise, starting from about 69K and reaching nearly 76K by the end of September.

For Jetstar, downloads fluctuated slightly, with a high of approximately 11.4K in mid-September. The app's active users increased steadily, beginning at around 14.8K in early July and ending close to 17.8K by the quarter's close.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker experienced a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $11.6K in early September. Downloads remained stable, averaging around 7K, while active users showed a slight increase, starting at 32.4K and ending at around 33.2K.

Lastly, Velocity Frequent Flyer reported weekly downloads ranging from 6K to 7.5K, with active users maintaining a steady presence, increasing from about 34K to 36K during the quarter.
